Sound Proofing Foam Insulation

For a warm and quiet home use sound proofing foam for insulations. It will eliminate drafts and save you on your energy bill.

When you finished your last remodeling project you may have discovered that the new insulation you used still allows drafts to enter the room and it does very little to filter out noise. This is typical when using standard insulation however, there is another type of insulation that is available that does an outstanding job of eliminating drafts and is an excellent soundproofing material to reduce noise in the home.

The amount of drafts and noise which seem to keep creeping in makes home life just a little less cozy and not as quiet as you would like it to be. So what can you do differently in your next DIY home improvement project to keep out drafts and noise. There is a real quick solution to this situation, and you may be surprised to learn just what it is. It is sound proofing foam insulation.

Sound proofing foam is also an excellent insulation material. Insulating with soundproof foam will eliminate the drafts that travel down walls from the attic and enter the living space around electrical outlets and fixtures. The sound proofing foam fills all those tiny gaps in walls around any fixture or outlets, making it highly energy efficient. By sealing all the places where outside air can find its way into your home there will be a real difference in your energy bills.

Because all the walls are insulated with soundproofing foam the noise that normally passes through walls will be eliminated. Children can play their music or video games in one room while you watch TV in another and someone else works in the home office. None of the noise will be a distraction.

Installing soundproofing foam insulation requires no advance preparation or removal and replacement of walls. Soundproofing foam spray is applied through the attic from which it descends down the interior of your walls. There is a great energy savings by installing soundproofing foam. The money you save on the labor costs of installing the foam will be offset by the energy cost savings. In addition, you can live in your home without any inconvenience during the foam installation. The major benefit is its very effectiveness as a noise reducer. If your home is located close to a major highway with heavy traffic you will get instant relief from the noise.

Soundproofing your home with soundproofing foam is not necessarily a homeowner DIY project. The foam is normally blown in thru the attic and down the interior walls. You can get more information about the cost of installing soundproof foam by contacting a local building contractor, inquiring at a home improvement supply center or do an online search.
