Steam Shower Rooms

Steam Showers, Spas and Saunas

Introduction:

Water is the most necessary substances to support human life, health and comfort. Not only does it quench our thirst, but it soothes and relaxes us whenever we use it to clean our bodies. A bath or shower is more than just a routine chore. It's a daily part of our lives and is as therapeutic to our emotions as it is an efficient method of removing dirt and grime.

Tension and stress are factors of our daily life. We need to keep a balance between tension and stress at work. A steam bath helps keep that balance.  The luxury of the steam bath is one of the most effective methods to help us achieve this balance that we all so desperately need.

There are other bathing options that are equally as popular such as spas, hot tubs and saunas. But the steam showers have become increasingly popular to soothe nerves and sore muscles and induce relaxation.

Steam shower rooms originated within the ancient Greeks culture. Long traditions of using these steam showers are found in the cultures of Russia and Turkey. Today most spas and gyms are equipped with steam shower rooms for the benefit of their customers. And steam generator technology has advanced in leaps and bounds, so that shower rooms can be installed in just about any bathroom at home or at work.

Steam showers are small enclosures into which steam is produced at a temperature of about 110 degrees F. Larger models that use the same technique are often called "steam baths". Often many individuals may take a steam bath together, similar to how it's done in a sauna.

There are some important differences between a steam shower and a sauna. The humidity in a steam shower is about 100%. By comparison, the humidity of a sauna is usually around 20%, and the heat in a sauna is between 150 and 190 degrees F.

A steam shower is considered to be far more relaxing than an ordinary shower. A steam shower gently removes dirt and grime from your skin rather than powering it away in a regular shower which allow the body to feel soft and warmly cleansed. Most steam showers are equipped with seating for relaxation purposes.

A steam shower is a luxurious process. It opens the pores and rejuvenates the skin. After a steam shower you feel refreshed and invigorated. While it may not replace standard showers for cleaning off tough dirt and grime, the steam shower is relaxing and an alternative to unwind after a hard day of stressful work.
