Power Bathroom Showers

Introduction:

Most people will admit that the world today is about fast living. Bathroom showers were introduced in bathrooms during the last century that greatly facilitated our fast life style.  Today life really would not be the quite the same without a shower. Can you imagine what life would be like if you had to climb into a bathtub rather than taking a shower every time you wanted to bathe?

While baths can provide a relaxing, tranquil and therapeutic experience, showers are designed and built for easy entry, getting clean quickly and getting out.

The most common and inexpensive shower found in most bathrooms is the mixer shower. Mixer shower valves consist of a shower valve that receives its water from the existing hot and cold water system in order to mix them together so that a single flow of water is delivered to the shower head at the temperature and flow rate you want. Typically the shower can be adjusted by a single lever to control the temperature and rate of the water flow. They are a popular, inexpensive, and effective choice. However, they do have their drawbacks.

Because other appliances are connected to the same water plumbing that supplies the shower mixer valve, the water flow rate can be affected when another appliances is used such as flushing a toilet. Unfortunately this can result in sudden freezing or scalding water dumped on anyone that is in the shower.

In addition to steam showers, power showers are another bathroom technological enhancement. They provide a very high water flow rate. The shower valve contains an integral pump to increase the shower water pressure.  The power shower either incorporates a single or a double pump in order to create a high pressure water flow. Single pump models often are sufficient when the natural water pressure in the existing water system only has slightly low water pressure. When the water pressure to the home is exceptionally low, a double pump power shower system is an option. In both cases, the pump will not only help to regulate the flow of hot and cold water, but also help to maintain the temperature of the water as well.

Power showers are not meant to be a water saving device. In fact the power shower will use much more water than any regular shower. The goal objective of the power shower is to take a system with low water pressure and force more water through the system with a higher volume of water. This can mean a significant increase in your water utility bill.

Power bathroom showers are designed to increase the amount of water pressure to propel water through the showerhead to create a powerful spray of water. If you are not into water conservation or you have low water pressure, a power bathroom shower may be right for you.
